The Detectorists metal detecting club is a newly formed club for metal detecting enthusiasts from active seasoned detectorists to beginners or people that may not even detect but are interested in our hobby.
The club is owned by Mark Coles and Myself Don Malkin, former owners of Three Counties Club and Sunbury Detector Centre.
A lot of you will know the much loved and well respected three counties club and have fond memories of it.
Our aim now that we have combined forces is to build this new club to be one the best in the hobby and something for our members to be proud of.
We will be holding regular digs on Sundays and midweek digs on wednesdays on our smaller fields whenever possible. We will also be hosting charity rallies and the odd weekend event.
We encourage our members to record their finds with the Portable Antiquities Scheme, the PAS. We will be inviting them to some of our Sunday digs to help ID log and photograph our finds.
We also encourage our member’s follow the NCMD code of conduct at all times.
We have spent many weeks and long hard long days searching for new farms and permissions for our members and will continue to do so to ensure we can give you the best detecting sites possible.
It is an ongoing and difficult process to acquire new land for our club to hire, and we welcome farmers and land owners to contact us if they would like us to search on their land.
